Why Every Serious Automotive Enthusiast Should Join the
National Automotive Concours Judges Registry (NACJR)

By Mike Gillespie

In the world of automotive preservation and concours competition, authenticity, historical accuracy, and technical knowledge are the cornerstones of excellence. Whether you own a classic automobile, participate in concours events, restore vintage vehicles, or simply appreciate automotive history, joining the National Automotive Concours Judges Registry (NACJR) offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a group like individuals who are contributing to the preservation of our automotive heritage and hobby.

Elevate Your Automotive Knowledge

As Membership continues to grow in the National Automotive Concours Judges Registry, the Registry can provide access to a community of highly knowledgeable enthusiasts, restorers, historians, and judges. Through education, training, and collaboration, members gain a deeper understanding of vehicle authenticity, factory specifications, restoration standards, and historical significance.

The judging process itself is one of the best educational experiences available in the collector car hobby. By examining exceptional automobiles and learning from experienced judges, members continually expand their knowledge across a wide range of marques and eras.

Preserve Automotive History

Every concours event serves as a living museum, showcasing vehicles that represent important chapters in automotive history. NACJR members play a critical role in preserving that history by helping establish and maintain judging standards that reward accuracy, craftsmanship, and authenticity.

As a judge, you become a steward of automotive heritage, helping ensure that future generations can appreciate these remarkable machines as their manufacturers originally intended.

Gain Professional Recognition

The Registry provides a respected credential within the collector car community. Participation demonstrates a commitment to fairness, integrity, and technical excellence. For restorers, appraisers, collectors, and automotive professionals, NACJR membership can enhance credibility and distinguish individuals as knowledgeable authorities in their field.

Many members find that their judging experience opens doors to new opportunities, including speaking engagements, advisory roles, restoration consulting, and leadership positions within automotive organizations.

Network with Passionate Enthusiasts

One of the greatest benefits of membership is the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts who share a passion for automotive excellence. Members build relationships with collectors, restorers, historians, and industry experts from across the country.

These connections often lead to valuable exchanges of information, access to rare documentation, mentorship opportunities, and lifelong friendships centered around a common love of automobiles.

It is More Than Just Being a Judge – It is a Commitment to Excellence

Joining the National Automotive Concours Judges Registry is about a commitment to preserving history, promoting authenticity, sharing knowledge, and supporting the highest standards in the collector car community.

For anyone who values automotive heritage and wishes to make a meaningful contribution to the hobby, membership in the National Automotive Concours Judges Registry is an investment in both personal growth and the future of automotive preservation.

The automobiles we admire today are more than machines—they are rolling works of art and historical artifacts. Through the National Automotive Concours Judges Registry, enthusiasts have the opportunity to help protect that legacy for generations to come.
